Limelight3, google coral, intel ncs2

Teams able to harness the power of limelight3 really have over the top unreal successes. Seeing teams in ontario running 4 on one robot even more surprising…

So where is intel ncs2 in this? Is google coral great with LL3, on its own great, do these three compete which each other on ftc and frc teams for teams to purchase???

Learning pros amd cons. Separate abilities of each. What or why not intel ncs2 being used? Ever have google coral work with intel ncs2?

Where to see how they add to performance By using google coral on LL3, could it help ncs2 or could ncs2 replace other two??? Who knows how these are individually or combined???

The Limelight is amazing not only because it has great out-of-the-box capabilities, but it has amazing documentation for students. I always have non-programming students set it up so they get a chance to have a direct impact on robot code without as much overhead. Some people just want to try things without 3 weeks of learning beforehand.

Ultimately though, most goal detection and pose estimation typically aren’t done with neural nets, so the coral has really only been in use for game piece detection. I don’t know of many people who choose to use that this year.
