Need to wire a limit switch and mag encoder to control the same motor. Planning to plug encoder into Talon but trying to figure out if there is a way to also wire the limit switch into the talon. We are guessing we need to wire the limit switch into the Rio but just wondering if there is another option with some sort of splitter.
There are solder pads on the SRX Encoder to put the limit switches on. Check out around page 21 of the CTRE user manual for more info on wiring them: http://www.ctr-electronics.com/downloads/pdf/Magnetic%20Encoder%20User’s%20Guide.pdf

As stated you can solder on the mag encoder or there are several breakout board options.
I have not used them but this one by Swyft looks neat
