After our offseason comp our limelight suddenly stopped working. We tried sourcing it with 12v and with a computer but it didnt work.The signal light that indicades if its turned on doesnt turn on no matter what. any idea how to fix it?
You can try imaging the limelight again with your computer through balena etcher depending on which interface you’ll be using:

You’ve checked that the wires going to the LL are actually getting 12V out on them? Depending on your wiring setup there’s a lot of possible routes of failure to check.
yeah, tested it with just a pdh and a battery. didnt work unfortunately.
And you just wired it into one of the main numbered ports on the PDH?
You could have an electrically fried Limelight. I’m just trying to rule that out.

We also experienced this issue yesterday. It seems like one of the voltage regulators (on the 12V IN side) is fried. 23 Ohms between output and GND pins on the fried regulator, vs 47 kOhm on the POE side regulator. Thus providing an easy path for current to flow from the 5V rail to GND.
