How are you going to line up to the hatch/cargo and why?

Line follow sensor probably, because that is more within our technical capacity (we did similar in 2011).

Aligning autonomously or semi-autonomously is going to be an incredibly important part of the game this year and will be increasingly important as the levels of competition progress. I think we’re likely going to use a combination of the two – the vision targets are a good way to get to the goal from a distance, but as you approach, I think the line will be useful to guide you in the remaining foot or so and ensure you stay straight.

We are planning on upswing two TOF distance sensors at the front corners of our robot. This way we can tell if we are angled to much. I think a combination of line sensors and distance sensors will make for a good autonomous scoring.
