We have a dart linear actuator, and every time we use it, the moving tube becomes detached. We don’t know how to use the potentiometer and thus haven’t used it, but I’m not sure if that’s the issue. Has anyone seen this issue before and if so how do we prevent this from happening again?
Are you side loading it(the dart is not designed to be side loaded) it also might be worth pulling up the assembly instructions and double checking everything
Could you post a picture of what is happening? We used dart actuators last year. It’s possible you forgot to add the clip on the bottom to hold the shaft in, or you ran the dart too far in or out and broke the gears inside.
We fixed it now, but essentially the screw keeping the tube attached to the actuator keeps coming off - it usually happens when the actuator is out too much I think.
Make sure the potentiometer is allrigned with the correct number of turns when you assemble the actuator or you will break the potentiometer and you will break the dart.
The issue is the fact that we can use the actuator maybe once or twice, then there’s a disgusting screech, and the base plate for the tube gets stuck - when I pull it, it just comes clean off, as if it has detached itself.
