What are we supposed to use to put our logos onto the robot?
Hand-painting. Stickers. Custom vinyl decals. Engraving or milling. Wood-burning. Laser etching. Et cetera.
We will probably print out our side-panel graphics and affix the paper to the inside of a thin sheet of lexan. Or perhaps we’ll have it printed on plastic this year. I don’t know the plan, but I’m assured it’s under control.
We have ours printed on paper and are considering elaminating it. We tried tape last year but got turned away and had to replace it with a certain glue. I am just trying to find an easy solution without getting turned away again.
This year, I finally got smart about using the resources around me, particularly the large-format printer in the College of Arts and Sciences computer lab. $16.25 bought a right large amount of graphics for the robot, which we laminated at the school today and will velcro to the robot. Overall, it looks great, even where I forgot like an idiot to provide means to reach the main breaker. (The trick was that I didn’t put anything fancy on the sides, so I could cut as needed without guilt.)
