Is your team going to week 0 and planning to scout?
Watching from our shop, our team (948) is planning to use week 0 as a wonderful practice opportunity for our scouts and strategists for this year’s game. We’d love to get some data collected by teams who are scouting at week 0 for verification / analysis purposes. No data is too insignificant; we’ll take data under any form (raw or processed, spreadsheet or graphs). No promises, but we might post our analysis results if we are organized enough in our discussion .
We will be at the official week 0 competition. Our scouting data will be publicly available at https://public.viperscout.com/ It will have raw data (CSV), computed data (like scores, also CSV), and visualizations.
We plan to upload the data to the public server as we take it off the scouting tablets, so it will get updated over the course of the event. (Assuming we have cell data connection at the venue.)

Our 2024 visualization has far few graphs than 2023 so far. We’ll probably add some more after we figure out we want to look into at week 0. The 2024 visualizations are adding a heatmap for robot starting position and a heatmap shooting location (on the team specific data page.)
To download our CSV data, visit the event page with the red and blue schedule and click “Show advanced options.” Then you will see a “Data” section which allows you to access several CSV files for the event.
We are just waking up and are going to be at the event in person in the next couple hours. The event has been created on the public data site with the real practice match schedule from the first event site.
