A couple of alumni at the University of Florida are trying to start up a F.I.R.S.T Alumni group for the North Central Florida area. This is a part of a bigger effort being advocated by Barry Bonzack to create a strong Florida F.I.R.S.T alumni group. More information can be found here.
I am posting here since one of the most important part of networking is having people to network with. If you are currently in the Gainesville area (or know someone here) please send me (or encourage the person you know) a friend request on facebook so I can add you to the group. The general idea is to have a organization were FIRST alumni can network and socialize. More specifics about what we will do will be decided later once we have numbers.
And if you aren’t at UF, but are in Florida, check out the link I posted above. Groups like these are in the works for other colleges as well.
Once again, we need people. Please show this to anyone you know that is in the Gainesville area, or any seniors who are considering coming to Gainesville. We would be happy to answer any questions they have about the area. PM me here or on Facebook if you have any questions. Thanks
