During last year’s competition season, I decided to volunteer as a scorekeeper at an event (besides championship) outside of Indiana, that being the London Ontario district event, and loved it. I’d like to do that again, but I’d like to make it someplace where my skills are needed and I wouldn’t be stepping on any toes. This is partially why I did this last year, as Indiana has trained other scorekeepers besides myself to the point where I’m only needed at two events or so.
So, If any of you reading this know of an event this year within, say 9 hours driving of Southern Indiana that could use an experienced scorekeeper, please post or PM me. FYI, I’ve been a scorekeeper since 2015 having done off-season events (including IRI), district events, district championships, and championship (including STL Einstein this year) as a scorekeeper during that time. I also have trained several new scorekeepers, and am more than happy to teach and shadow somebody new.
