Our team has a significant investment in Falcon 500 motors as I’m sure many teams do. We know that we will eventually have to move on, but we are not quite prepared to do that yet. We have a well-established annual rebuilding process so that any motor we put into a competition robot is “known good”. Anyway, the reason for my outreach today is to see if any teams are already moving on from Falcon 500s and may have some that you are willing to sell to another team. Ideally I’d like to add about six to our inventory. Thank you.

1339 is planning on making their entire stock of falcons available as a bulk purchase, with conditions ranging from used excellent to broken. I think it’s at least 20. I’ll check with their leaders on Saturday and see what the price is.

Mind disclosing your rebuilding process? We have a box of “Unknown Status” motors that we’d like to figure out if we should keep or not.
You know how it goes, something goes wrong at competition. Is it Software? Is it Wiring? Is the Motor Bad? Change the Motor!
Which also means you change the wiring, and potentially software pushes an update on the code since the robot is in the same spot for more than 5 minutes. Congratulations, Which actually fixed it?
