We will go for side hook in OC to leave room for others hopefully ,we found in SD only a razor fingertip grip will work. Mor hooks!
Love the top part of our bot. Hopefully any angle.
There were several climbs like that at waterbury this past weekend. We (4557) did it with 177 and 230
The coordination was also made easier because of the way 4557 hangs by rotating their entire robot down so it hangs with their bumper vertical. This allowed us (230) to easily climb after them and just ride up the side of their entire bumper instead of needing to climb at a compatible rate to keep our bumpers mostly aligned.
Have there been any climbs where two robots independently hooked the rung and both got the climb bonus?
2848 and 3676 pulled off a double climb without either picking up the other in Dallas Qual 24

I see a lot of benefit in this style design, as your 1 bot isn’t tied up for 15…20…30? seconds setting up for the partner climb. My team opted for an extremely quick (<10 seconds) selfish climb at the Dallas regional, but are looking at a “non-selfish” version for our next regional.
