Hello, I was just at th BMR regional and accidentally left my laptop in the stands in the Purdue auditorium where the awards ceremony was held.
Has anyone seen it? Please let me know any information you know about it.
My laptop is a Black IBM Think Pad laptop, somewhat dated, Pentium 4 with Windows XP.
Thank you!
(a very worried) q
Not the q-branch lappy!
Hope you get it back… or have you info backed-up!
Thanks to 829 , the Digital Goats!
I’m not really sure who all was involved in finding my laptop, but to all of you who were involved… THANK YOU!
That could have been a season killer right there… :yikes:
Thank you again!

Thank David Kelly for finding it, and thank our bus for breaking down so we were still around for David to give to us.
Yes, for the second time this year or school bus has broken down. At least it didn’t happen to our robot!
EDIT: As Mr.D pointed out it was Chris Noble who gave us the laptop. I suck at names!

And… thanks to your bus for… breaking down? :o
Thanks, and i look forward to seeing my laptop again,

p.s. is it wrong to take a laptop out to a happy-to-see-you-again dinner? :]
I am glad you found your laptop. And if I was you, I would totally take it to the dinner.
That sounds like a nice gesture.
Damage to and lost laptops = awful just awful.
Hope it all worked out for the Digital Goats, FRC 829, as well.
Sounds like quite a night!

The laptop was given to me by Chris Noble of Pike RoboDevils 1018 . It is secure in Team 829s robotics room at Walker Career Center.
I am proud of the Digital Goats FRC 829 and how they did at Boilermaker.
Also, Congratulations go to teams 111, 1024 and 876. They were an awesome alliance!

Glad you found it. You’re not the only one losing your mind.
The day before Silicon Valley, I lost my laptop TWICE in two different places. Now it’s in my friend’s living room.

Taking your laptop out for dinner? Suppose it’ll want “giga-bites”?
Glad you got it back. I can imagine your panic…
If there was any place for me to lose my lappy, I would want it to be at a FIRST event. You’ve probably got the best chance of getting it back there!

Ouch. And I was freaking out over losing my new safety glasses twice. I never found them. I miss them soooo much
Have you considered building a bus for the school?
Glad it came back, as Shadow503 noted, if you’re going to lose something, a FIRST event seems like the best place - makes us all proud to be associated with FIRST , eh?.. Now, handcuff it to your wrist .

Gotta use that laptop lock for something right? XD
