Throughout the off season the Lovat team has been working hard to ensure Lovat continues to meet the needs of scouters, analysts and teams. This season, we are prioritizing reliable data by providing better, more interactive training, while enhancing our interface and ease of use. We’ve also made many changes, small and large, to improve the efficiency of Lovat.
Currently our plan is to release the system on February 20th 2025 for beta testing. We will send out more information as this date approaches. To receive direct communications join our waitlist Get updates | Lovat. Feel free to contact us at Contact | Lovat with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Are you guys currently planning to include any way to indicate de-ALGAEifying any given segment of the REEF?
Is it possible for teams to customize the the data that lovat collects/the statistics is calculates?
For speed and accuracy of scouting we decided against adding yet another button to track clearing algae in real time, but we will have a few options to indicate whether robots are capable of this during our post-match questionnaire (whether they have a specific algae-clearing mechanism and whether they can intake algae from the reef and/or ground).

For the sake of standardization across teams sharing data, we don’t allow custom fields in Lovat Collection (other than a “notes” box at the end of the match). However, the data we do collect is quite comprehensive and can be exported in the form of a CSV for a more custom solution. We have a format with the statistics we calculate for each team (“by team”) as well as one with raw quantities submitted by scouters (“by scout report”), which should be enough for any custom analysis.
