Low Bar

So after watching the game video a couple times I realized that you only need to destroy 4 of the 5 defenses to get a breach. This means that you would technically never have to deal with the Low Bar if you didn’t want to. Do you think its still worth designing for your robot to go under the low bar if its unnecessary to get breaching points.

I wouldn’t make it a priority. If it can then it can, if it can’t, then that’s not necessarily a big deal.

Eh… maybe, maybe not. Can you fit under 16 inches and still make a shooter? You can, in theory, just ignore the low bar in a breach attempt, but what if there’s one really tough obstacle out there? What if an alliance member gets stuck on one of the defenses? Is it worth the reduced cycle time? (it’s right in front of the secret passage) Would it inhibit the climbing mechanism?

Such is the nature of strategy.

In my opinion the low bar is the best way to design for. It’s always on the field, you can do it speedily, and it allows for more high or low cycles (which in turns leads to a higher chance of destroying the tower).

There’s nothing stopping you from putting attachments that when not extended are above 16 inches but when deployed can pass under it like a floor pickup or catapult.

Depends on your strategy.

1> The low bar is always in a known location (position 1).
2> It is the shortest route from your secret passage (where boulders are entered) to the enemies tower.
3> assuming others think as you are, you can add to an alliances capabilities by being able to damage that defense.

So, again … it depends on your chosen strategy.
