M.A.R.S. Weekly photo competition

M.A.R.S. (team 1523) is proud to announce that we are now hosting a weekly photo competion. The way it works is that we will post a new photo (usually blurred, or somehow made more difficult to guess what it is), and anyone who thinks they know what the answer is may leave a comment, or vote in our poll.

This week’s photo (starting on Wenesday, 3/2/05):

To get it started off easy, can you guess what year this CAD drawing is from? For extra pizazz, see if you can figure out what team designed this for the Autodesk Visulation Award.

Good luck to any competitors.

2004, but i forget who made the animation, i thought it was dlavery, but i could be wrong

This is from 2004. It might be 107’s because it looks like their old robot.

GO 1403!!!

The week is up, and then some. Our forgetful webmaster (me :ahh: ) forgot to post the answer and this weeks photo. But all is not lost!

The answer to last weeks competition was 2004, but the team was 342, The burning magnetos. If you would like proof, feel free to visit their website for more information and photos of their animation.

This weeks photo is of another team animation, but this time the question is not the year, but which team. The animation was made in 2002.

In 2002, what team made this animation?

My two guesses: 311 or 65

469?

I guessing team 342 Inventor Assembly, from 2004

Umm… look up a few posts. But good job if you didn’t see the answer.

As Dan-o said, the answer has been posted… but great job if you didn’t look.

To clarify, that was really what type of reply I have been looking for. Not just a random guess, but research to reinforce your thoughts. Rember that FIRST is about learning and not just randomly throwing stuff together and seeing if it works (but you will learn with that too…).

HINT: I would suggest searching the CD forums, google, or just various team websites for the photos, as most of the pictures are from team’s websites.
