Special thanks to team 980 for picking us at LA. We did so great and aside from the robots, our teams worked together so well, trusting each other and keeping an eye on each other. We enjoyed that so much. 980 and 580, both you guys are an absolutely fabulous team, we love all your people, your robots, and cannot say enough good things about your robots. And you had some amazing maneuvers I’m not sure anyone else could have pulled off. 980, adjusting mid-lift to not fall off. 580, the AMAZING teamwork getting us back to the home zone when our drivetrain broke.
So, both you guys, thank you so much, it means a lot to have had your support, and thanks for making this a great year.
Your team was a perfect selection for our robot, with those ramps that seemed to effortlessly lift our 'bot. I thought we had a good chance to get the 60-point “double-double” in every match. We were the “sleeper” alliance in the elimination rounds. The early exit of the top seed alliance helped put us in a position to win it all. Unfortunately, we missed taking the finals to a third match by a half-inch. I like our chances in San Diego - see you there!
You guys were an amazing alliance and a tough one to beat! That last match in the finals was very intense and you guys did a great job!
