OK the championship is over. So now is the time to get working on the off-season schedule. As the organizer of MARC, I want to say thank you to every team that comes. This was my last official season as team 1528 (MTR) team advisor/teacher. I have resigned as a teacher and will be starting a new career with Chrysler on Monday (5-6-13). With this being said, **NO ** this is not MARCs last year. I might not be the teacher/lead mentor but I am still going to play a role with MARC organization and MTRs build season. Please dont think this is the last year of MARC. 1528 is going to host this awesome event for years to come. I want to thank all those people that have supported 1528 and myself in the past and hope that you will continue to support 1528 as we restructure our team and MARC. Trust me when I say you wont even notice a difference.

There will be no inspections so there is a honor system to the overall weight.

Elimination alliances:

-Each alliance will consist of 4 robots

-Order of selection will be 1-8, 8-1, 1-8

-Each robot on an alliance must play at least once some time during the Elimination matches

-This eliminates the Backup Robot rules, but the Time Out rule remains in effect

Just curious… Will there be a Chairman’s portion to this competition?

Will there be a webcast?

Related but will 2337 be uploading the matches to youtube shortly after each match?

We will be bring our equipment, if bandwidth is permitting we would be more then happy to archive the event (and Stream on twitch.tv).

-Clinton-

Could we have webcast information please?

Here is the link to the webcast.

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/marc-2013

So the stream quality is not what we would like for the event, but thanks to 2337, each match is being uploaded to Youtube.com/firstinmichigan as it happens.

I believe these are the rankings so far.

Thanks to 1732 for picking us! Also thanks to 1023 and 2673 for being great alliance partners.

And a big thanks to the organizers of MARC and all the volunteers…once again you’ve put on a great event. We look forward to it every year.

BX would like to thank 1732 for digging way down in the rankings and putting their faith in us. Our veteran drivers only drove 2 qualifying matches so that we could show we could climb. Other than that, we rotated rookie drivers through so that they could gain experience. We didn’t have them climb because of the complexity of the climb. So, we are very thankful that you picked us and we greatly enjoyed working and cheering with you. Your team is energetic, and was so fun to sit next to.

Also, huge thanks to 1718 for such a strong performance! Thanks to 2673 for keeping our elimination streak undefeated! You all were great to work with.

BIG BIG thanks to Steve & Kyle for putting in so much work hosting, and to Marjie for coordinating all the volunteers, and to ALL the volunteers who braved the heat and storms to help make this event fun for all!

It was a lot of fun to see all of our robot friends again!

Hello all!

Materia Oscura Team 4478 wants to give a big thanks to all of our alliance partners. First of all, we are so grateful that the Benzene Bots accepted our invitation to join our alliance, since we attend the west campus of the International Academy and your team is based out of the east campus of the same school. It was so nice to actually be able to work with our fellow classmates that we don’t get the chance to work with in school and I really feel like over the course of this season we have gotten to know your team better.

Also, our alliance would not have been complete without both the hard work of the Frog Force and of Metal and Soul. You guys did a wonderful job! Thank you so much for accepting our invitation.

This has been an unforgettable experience for our rookie team, as we hardly expected to be in eliminations in the first place. We’d like to thank the organizers of MARC for doing such a great job with the tournament this year.

Thank you!

MARC 2013 was great. It was well run and I never noticed any problems. It was my first competition to drive the robot at, and a load of fun!

It was also cool to talk to new people!

(and I finally got to see Koko Ed in person!)

EDIT: Does anyone have a copy of the Match Schedule?

Once again, the organizers and volunteers put on another great MARC event. A great big thanks goes out to all of them! Summer would not be the same without MARC (and it’s nice warm gymnasium)! Team1732 would like to thank our alliance partners 1718, 1023 and 2673, who played their roles perfectly. 1718, your firepower was truly impressive. 1023, your rock solid climb and dump (plus autonomous scoring) was a godsend. 2673, you guys came through with perfect autonomous and hanging and smart, well executed defensive play. Also, big thanks to Dan from 469 for helping us (and many others) diagnose our control issues on the field. It was so much fun to see and play with our friends in Michigan once again!
