Its a beautiful bot! Can’t wait to stop by and say “hi” at champs.

Looks cool! Is the name a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference?

Nope, all of our robots are Marvin- they are from MARS, after all.

I like the part of your video 1 minute and 51ish seconds in

This is a great robot, I’m glad you guys are going to Champs. I was honestly very surprised you didn’t earn a regional win this season, great bot.

Can you describe how your floor intake gets disks to your shooter? I can’t quite tell from the render?

At 1:45 in the video (pause it, nice picture), you can see the floor grabber down, then the turret comes down and meshes with the grabber. As the grabber is running backwards to pull in disks, so are the shooter wheels, so instead of rotating the shooter wheels forwards to shoot a disk, they rotate backwards to suck a disk in backwards through the shooter and into the breach.

Its a beautiful bot!

Having seen Marvin up close, I can tell you he is definitely more than just a pretty face! Fast!! Powerful!! Accurate!!

I really enjoyed watching him run at the Smoky regional and also getting a chance to talk to some of the MARS team. Congrats to the MARS program on winning Engineering Inspiration!

Congrats to MARS for the Engineering Inspiration Award win! As always, it looks like you have a great robot.

I hope you come back to CAMM this summer. You have consistently been one of the top teams at CAMM. We are adding some Friday evening festivities, including pizza and a humans versus robots frisbee shooting contest, for the teams that come up the day before. Selfishly, I want to see Marvin in action.

Thank you!

I hope you come back to CAMM this summer.

We will be there! See you there!

I look forward to CAMM this year! It’s always a great event.

P.S. I love the video from 2011 you posted. I never get tired of seeing that. It was unfortunate that our Beta and Alpha teams didn’t pick each other last year :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s a cool bot!!

Unfortunate for you, not so unfortunate for the other teams at CAMM. And we’re really glad you’re coming to CAMM again. I want to see Marvin in action in person.

I love watching that video too, although we were on the other side of the field and lost the match.

Ah, we have two of these again guys :yikes: So there is still a chance for MARVIN VI to join forces with his less pretty twin… I’ve already put CORI on my schedule. Thankfully it falls right in between two business trips this year.
