**Match Results via Twitter
Instant Gratification
**
I’ve been doing a little bit of work on how The Blue Alliance imports match results, and now each match gets posted to Twitter upon it’s entry in The Blue Alliance database! If you are a twitter user, you can follow TheBlueAlliance and get all your match update goodness that way! Every match from every official event will be posted.
This idea is great and I want to use it, but unfortunately my text messages are limited. I was wondering if you can set up 4 separate accounts for each field(Archimedes, Curie, Galileo, and Newton) at the Nationals so I don’t have to look through my 50-message limited in-box to find my team or other teams I like to see.
This gives me the opportunity to say something I have been meaning to for a while, a personal THANK YOU to all the folks over at The Blue Alliance. As someone who has been torn away from New England FIRST it was great to be able to watch BAE, CT, and Boston finals in the archives. The ability to click on a team and get all of their matches is also a really sweet feature.
As far as the twitter service, good stuff!! I was wondering how long it would take someone to do it and I should have guessed who it would be I’m already a follower and will be watching during Nats, which I can’t make it to this year either. Also thanks to those providing their own color commentary on twitter, you know who you are, and if anyone else out there will be twittering FIRST post if you want an additional follower
