Our team is in the process of calculating our autonomous movements, and after determining the necessary distances through painful calculations all we need is the maximum RPM for the default CIM drive motors.
So if anyone knows the maximum RPM for the 12V CIM motors that come with the KOP please reply! Thanks!
About 5300 rpm, with no load.
Here’s a link to a page with all kinds of specs

The max RPM for the CIM motors running under no load is approximately 5300rpm. This will be lower under load, and your actual speed will vary depending on your exact set-up and how you code your drive.
Especially given the low traction surface and the chance for your wheels to “spin out” if you surpass the static friction, I’d highly suggest trying to create a closed loop system if at all possible.
Thanks for the answers everyone. That’s very helpful for our autonomous calculations.
You aren’t going to get the right distance without a very good feedback system.
Things that will affect you.
Temperature of CIM.
Victor or Jaguar Quality
Battery Voltage
Chain/Belt Resistance
Wheel Slippage
Metal Binding
other problems.
I suggest that you do not try and make an autonomous code that goes exactly the right distance. Make a code that puts the robot at least 5 feet past your target.
Just trying to be helpful.
