The pinout in the picture in the lower left seems to disagree with the schematic in the lower right.
Which one is correct?

The board shown in the upper right and the primary copper layer Gerber plot in the lower right are definitely not of the same PCB.
Yep. Looks like some of the traces were moved around. If I had to guess, the schematic is outdated.
I found another picture of what looks like the same board, but from a top down perspective. The traces are a little easier to see.
The IC looks like it is this part, and the PCB looks pretty similar to the typical operating circuit suggested in the datasheet for the MAX3232.
But the PCB layout does not match the pictures.
In the pictures, the output is toward the outside edge on both sides.
In the PCB layout, T is toward the outside corner on one side, and R is toward the outside corner on the other.
