we have a MB 1043 that we wired to our Robo Rio analog inputs. when running it in the example program it won’t read under 28 inches but will read out higher numbers(still inaccurate). we’ve tried messing with the scale factor, switching analog ports, and switching the sensor altogether. nothing really changes it.
As far as I know, MB 1043 can only read between 27-760 centimeters. If the value is under 27, it will read 27. Maybe the reason you think higher distances are more inaccurate because you have to convert it from centimeters to inches first.
