Mechanical Engineering Openings at Stern Pinball!

As a few people know, a handful of the WildStang and Plus One mentors work day jobs at Stern Pinball, the world’s largest manufacturer of pinball machines! These are extremely multi-disciplinary projects, working with electrical and software engineers, game and industrial designers, as well as 2D and 3D artists.

We have TWO new openings for mechanical engineers! Both positions would become part of our pinball development studio, working on on upcoming machines and accessories. We’ve recently launched titles based on iconic properties such as John Wick, Jaws, Godzilla, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and many more!

This position requires relocation to the Chicagoland area, but offers flexible hybrid work schedules. Senior Engineers are game lead project engineers, embedded within the game teams throughout the product development cycled. Junior engineers move between projects as needed.

I’m not the market for this opening (high school student with no plans of being an engineer), but I have to ask: do you guys have an employee discount? I want to own a pinball machine someday, but for now society won’t let me.

Yes we do! 1 game per year.

But have you also considered a Futurama “Jurassic Bark” themed game? Perhaps where the ball gets stuck forever in one spot until the game breaks? Could make the software easier to write.

(This is seriously a cool job role)
