We used Shuffleboard’s recoding capability. The video was on the driver dashboard, so Shuffleboard recorded it.
There are some caveats, Shuffleboard isn’t super robust:
- The video doesn’t have the right framerate, it plays faster than real-time and had to be slowed down for this video.
- Starting the recording programmatically with
Shuffleboard.startRecording()worked well in the shop, but did not work when connected to the FMS. The drivers had to remember to manually start the recording.
This was our first year recording Shuffleboard data and it was super helpful. We watched the limelight videos to troubleshoot issues with the stadium LED marquee, we used the driver cam to fine-tune autonomous, and we used the telemetry data we send for fine-tuning a shooting distance and to troubleshoot a color sensor failure.
