Our team is having difficulties with the control system. We have a cRIO from a couple of years ago and it was set up last year without the NI 9472 module, the solenoid one. I’m not sure if we still have that part. Has the 9472 always been in the Kit of Parts and is it absolutely necessary to drive thr robot?
The 9472 is not required and only useful if you are using pneumatics (or possibly if you are using electric solenoids). Even if you are using pneumatics, you can drive them with Spike relays if you don’t have the module and don’t want to purchase one.
It has been in the rookie KOP each year since this control system came out in '09.
