When we tighten down screws into the spacers for mounting the motor plate our swerve doesn’t move as smoothly as it should. One of the screw/spacers seems to be the culprit. When it is tightened it rubs against the steering belt and causes the right left motion (angling) of the wheel to not move as smoothly. When we remove this screw/spacer the module does not have this issue. See the included images. (Other notes: we did cut the shafts instead of getting spacers.)
Help? What has gone wrong?
It appears that you are using a MK4i steering shaft. You need a MK4 steering shaft. Were these MK4i modules that you purchased separate components for to covert to MK4, or were these originally MK4 modules? If you were sent the wrong steering shaft we are happy to send the correct one.
We actually figured that out a little after posting. We have both MK4 and MK4i and the two steering shafts got confused.
