More CAD Release

Our team made a west coast drive for our off-season project and we were successful with it so here is the CAD for that. I did release a west coast drive cad earlier but after reading some replies I made some modifications to our original design. The bearing blocks are custom and would be waterjet on a sponsors waterjet. One change for this season is we would create smaller bearing blocks similar to how 971 did theirs as these bearing blocks were made for 16T sprockets and a way to mount an encoder. Since we would be using falcons, there wouldn’t be a need for encoder mounting. The bumper support brackets are 1/16" rather than 1/8" as modeled.

Along with that, I made an elevator which I pray we don’t have to use this year, but here it is. It is not complete but was more for a proof of concept to get the idea down. The gearbox however is complete and would be mounted to the frame by using the two tubes on the bottom. They would have tube connecting nuts pressed in which would bolt to the frame. The gearbox mount technique was taken from 1678 and how they mounted their elevator this year.

Also there was a plan to change out our claw for State Championships but we never did but the CAD for that is here as well. It follows the popular 1684 Claw design that a lot of teams switched to towards the end of the season. One adjustment I would make to it is rather than one big cylinder, use 2 smaller cylinders so the claw doesn’t wobble when open. Also I never added backstops that would prevent hatches from getting stuck on the claw. This was the first time I tried to CAD something for the bot so there is a a lot that could be improved.
