I am unsurprisingly particularly fond of our second team’s name. @Molly_Connolly named team 429 “Two Many Bobcats”
Error 429 is “too many requests” and we formed “team 2” because we…had too many requests to join the Bobcats.

There are lots of “Flying” teams, but my favorite has to be 3641, The Flying Toasters.
In looking for their number because I forgot, I typed “Flying” into TBA and found 2655, “The Flying Platypi”, which is almost better!

Greater Pittsburgh 2025 has some fun rookie team names, but I’d really like to learn more about these five new teams from Brownsville, PA. Five new teams from a small town, with some fantastic naming. I’m seriously considering a trip to GPR this spring. There’s some great team imagery potential here.

I signed up to volunteer there this year, and that will be interesting to see. Near consecutive numbers, same town, and Pleistocene. I hope they realize the upkeep of 5 FRC teams (versus something like 5 FTC teams)

No matter how (graciously) professional, intimidating, or scary FRC may seem, it’s ultimately just high schoolers having fun building robots. For me, 254 embodies that perfectly.

I have a couple favorites - FRC 9400 BagelBytes (they have really cute shirts too) and 16377 Spicy Ketchup (their logo looks like the What-A-Burger Spicy Ketchup. Our FTC league also has FTC 23507 Sitting Ducks

Team 1285 used to be called “The Big Bang”. After the pandemic, they switch it to “The Biggest Birds”. I suspect it came after an audio that went viral on TikTok.
