I have a question about electric motors. How much torque do you get when trying to go the opposite way the motor is turning, like when trying to stop a robot?
I believe that it is equal to stall torque, but I’m not sure.
If so, during deceleration, the robot has full motor torque stopping it the whole way, but during acceleration, it only has full torque the instant it starts. For this reason, robots should stop much quicker than they get going. In reality, how different are these accelerations? Has anybody measured them?
