Moving Mid Season

Today we at my team welcomed a new team member. I wont post her name for two reasons (1 being security, and the second being I don’t remember it), but she said when she was called into the counselors office for her FIRST (see Dean :yikes: ) day of school they asked her about clubs and she jumped into ours.

She told us that she was on team 2001 for a year back home, and I just tried to imagine moving from my current team to another team mid-season. I mean, entire designs would change.

We’re glad to have her so I hope 2001 isn’t too upset. But I was curious as to how many other teams have had this happen and how you went about integrating them into your build efficiently.

We personally haven’t experienced that. We don’t accept new members on our team after a cut-off date set in the fall, typically end of Sept. or Early Oct. The reason being that we conduct fall training excercises to build team comradery and skillsets.

Being that she was on another team is a unique situation.

I moved teams mid season last year more or less - it was really hard to be helpful to either team but it ended up being a great year! Just be sure to answer her questions and let her know how she can help and where.
