For those of you who don’t already know, I am writing a novel based around a fictitious group of FIRST kids.
While I seem to have no problem coming up with nicknames, I have a devil of a time coming up with a character’s given neame.
I have a character that is a girl, senior in high school, mildly rebelious, tall, blonde, and generally well liked (her younger sister is jealous of her).
Her friends call her skippy because she loves peanut butter.
For some reason I cannot find a suitable name for this girl for when she is being called on by a teacher etc. nothing seems right.
If anyone has a good suggestion I’d appreciate it.
Is there a character who dresses up as his favorite wrestler/superhero and attends FIRST events in his secret identity as a Woodie Flower’s lookalike complete with pin-vest and ponytail in this novel? Uh, not that I know anyone… uh, nevermind… I never brought this up.
:goes to a random corner:
Oh, and your character sounds like a Katherine for some odd reason.
actually… that kinda reminds me of kirsten… 'cept kir’s an only child… maybe a meghan or carlynn?
also, just randomly, cuz i’ve never seen my name in a book (i almost cheered out loud when i met another person with the same name!), feel free to use it if you want to ~ Stacia Nichole.
umm… actually she sounds a bit like an alexis, too…
i know too many people of whose looks i am envious and are borderline rebellious sometimes…
I think you should name her Bob… Yup… Bob seems to be a good given name for her… You know us southerners(us country town folk…) we like that there name Bob… My uncles, sister-in-laws, brothers, taxi driver so has all his kid’s named Bob…
