Team 254, Team 1868, and the NASA Robotics Alliance Project will be hosting a pre-ship practice weekend on Saturday 2/18 and Sunday 2/19. We will have a nearly regulation size field, with official competition playing field elements. We are hoping to see as many teams as possible.
More information is on the attached flyer. If you have any questions, post them in this thread or email me at [email protected]
No to both. You need at least one mentor though. We do ask that any photography at the event not be distributed beyond the photographer so that teams can choose if/when to unveil their robots.
What they did last year for us was we had to send in our pictures/video and get them approved before using them for our robot video, etc., but it’s no problem really. 254 is always quick to respond, and is usually very lenient of things.
256 will be going to the Lab on Sunday! I can’t wait! There’s so much to work on, so much driving to practice on, and of course you have to look your best in front of the 2011 world champions!
Thanks for the clarification. I remember hearing from somebody that we had to do that in case we accidentally violated other team’s privacy but showing their robot, but that may not have been the case.
I can’t wait! BTW, Kevin, I’m kinda curious, do you think you see your team attending more/different regionals/off-season in the future? I’d love to see you at Cal Games, and maybe at SVR/CVR one year! Or one of the new regionals to come!
PM me back, since this thread has derailed enough already.
Are we required to bring our bumpers to the scrimmage? We were planning on fabricating them after bag and tag, however we may need to get to it if they’re required for the scrimmage.
