An update on the website as of today:
Update 11/15/2021: We are still working on the grant selections. We will provide an update here as soon as one is available.
Registration payment is due at noon EST right? That’s in about an hour.

Also two years ago announcements were the “Week of Nov. 11”, Payment was due Mon. Nov 18, and our announcement was on Nov. 22. FIRST fixed things for us.
Anyone heard back yet? Nothing for my team still.
Still no, we’re “secured” with FIRST using a PO pending word on the grant, but nothing from NASA.
We haven’t heard anything yet. Does NASA notify you if you DON’T get the grant? This is a longer delay than two years ago.
I heard from an FRC PDP on Thursday or Friday last week that they were still working on it but they didn’t give an expected date of notification. The web site posted above probably has the latest updates.
Having worked with federal government funding a lot in my actual job, it’s not unusual for delays to occur while funding is being transferred to agencies and many other things that are largely out of the control of the people actually doing the work (in this case, administering the grant).
Especially when we’re operating under a continuing resolution rather than an actual budget.
Yes. I dont know 100% for sure. but for every grant i have ever done always get a yes or no

Did everyone else receive an email? I did not and will be sending NASA an email so that we can be sure to fulfill all the requirements.
The only email that we received was from FIRST notifying us of the grant. It did not specify the requirements for the grant.
The requirements are listed on the application page. I imagine that someone will be emailing the coaches with the specifics (how to turn things in), but you might want to get on that Chairman’s submission before the season starts to knock at least one thing out of the way! 
We received an email saying we were awarded the grant. That’s all I know. Sorry
Even more important than chairman’s right now is that all students have to fill out a survey BEFORE KICKOFF. They will also have to complete one after, but the one before is a bit of a tune crunch now.
I would like to point out that the team doesn’t have to actually submit or present the Chairman’s award for a competition/to First, only to NASA:
- Sponsored teams MUST COMPLETE and submit an annual report (aka Chairman’s Award) to NASA.
All NASA sponsored teams have similar requirements, and we opted out of presenting Chairman’s at our last few competitions due to a lack of man/willpower.
Right - but the same material is required, as I understand (and rookie teams aren’t allowed to present Chairman’s at an event, anyway).
