Need Bluetooth help

I’m the software mentor for Team 2841 in Melbourne Fla. This is our second year. We can connect via BlueTooth using last year’s RobotC, but when we loaded the new version 1.93, we started getting ‘Bluetooth could not be opened error’. We can still see the Brick ID in the reachable window, but now get this error when we click on the Select via BT button.

We’re following the BT guidelines in the Help page. Are there some extra steps or actions required for Version 1.93?

Thanks,
John Day
Mentor Team #4851

Did you update the firmware on the NXT? Version included with my RobotC V1.93 is 7.83.

[Sorry for the delay in answering] Yes, we uploaded the new 7.83 firmware which came with RobotC.
Will try using a different laptop.

Thanks,
John/AF4EX

Tried to connect using two other computers, the BlueTooth logon and PassKey enabling seems to OK with no problem but RobotC reports: “No ‘NXT’ bricks could be found” and the connection doesn’t work (even though Windows still shows the “Passkey Enabled” status for connection. Deleting the connections and starting over doesn’t help.

We had no problem using RobotC 1.4 with this same equipment (Bluetooth and brick), so we’re suspecting a RobotC bug in version 1.93? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

What OS are you using? Are you using a computer with builtin Bluetooth,
or the dongle provided with the kit?

Did you do a bluetooth reset on the NXT?

Here are a couple of links for debug from last year.
