We’re having some issues with our NEO motors. When we try to run them they don’t move but our spark maxes show they’re connected and have good status. We at first thought it was just that some of our motors were broken but 3 have had the issue and I don’t think it’s possible for them to be broken since we just got them.
If anyone has any idea on what is wrong please help us, this is our second time trying out swerve and NEOS.
Are you trying to run them with REV Hardware Client or with your robot code? If you’re trying to use the hardware client and the motors aren’t moving, try:
- Removing power from the roboRIO and power cycling the robot
- Making sure the hardware client is updated
- Making sure the motor controllers are updated
If your code is failing to run them, could you send a Github link so we can look at your code? You should also check your CAN connections and make sure all of your hardware has the most recent firmware.

Can you clarify the “good status”? Are the lights green/red or cyan/magenta?
We figured out that it was an electrical issue, some wires were place wrong and we fixed it, thank you for the help! Probably will still try what you said incase
