We just came back from our first competition, and one of our issues was how slow it took for the SmartDashboard to connect to the robot’s network camera. (M1013, Around 3 minutes after robot powerup, ~1-2 min after field connection) This camera is only used for driver visibility, not targeting.
We also have a USB camera that worked almost instantly once the robot connected.
Any suggestions? (I just thought of static IPs, good defaults?)
Connection: Camera plugged into network jack in radio, using recommended mDNS names.
