New England Offseason Event List - 2018

Hi All,

As someone who is not too familiar with the offseason events in New England, I was hoping people would help me aggregate a list. In particular, I want to know what events occur from August to December.

I’d really appreciate if you added the name, location, event date, event registration start date, event registration end date, and cost if available.

An event website would also be highly appreciated.

Last year Bash was October 14th

BOtB registration opened in June in 2016 and 2017

Beantown Blitz will be on October 6th this year, in Revere MA.

Thanks for starting this thread Akash! I’m moving in August so this is great to refer to.

Would highly recommend. Volunteered there last season and it was very well ran and a considerable amount of fun. Really looking forwards to it this season.

I don’t info for these, but I believe the list is currently missing:
Mainley Spirit, Which is run by 2648 and was in September last year

River Rage, which is hosted by 131, 238, and 501, and was mid-October last year

Bay State Brawl, which is run by 4048, and was at the end of October last year

Any way that we could reach out to some of the teams that run these?

No date yet for RiverRage - planning begins next week and we’ll update as soon as we lock down a date with the school. We usually shoot for mid-late October depending on sports schedules.

Update on RiverRage:

We are happy to announce that RiverRage 2018 will be on Saturday, October 27th this year at Memorial High School in Manchester, NH.

On-line registrations will open around July 1st - http://riverrage.powerknights.com/

Will the robots have a costume parade this year?

Thanks for asking! Likely yes on the timing for volunteer signups around the same time and we’ll be posting in the same places.

RR is a Halloween themed event (hooray for a date closer to actual Halloween this year) so team and robot costumes are encouraged. Still working on details of actual event day plans so if there will be a robot costume parade we’ll update the teams in the team updates that go out as well as our website/FB event. Thanks!

Bay State Brawl is being Co-held by Team 4048 and Team 663 this year.

It is being held on October 20, 2018 at Whitinsville Christian School in Whitinsville MA.

Bay State Brawl is next Saturday, October 20, and from looking at their web site I think they still have registration slots open.
