I thought it looked a lot cleaner until the backround (that took forever on my T1) popped up. It makes it a bit hard to read.

That and how do you get to see past comps. if you click on the Robotics Competition under General information it just gives you that the general information.

Anyone else see anything good or bad about it???

I agree. For an organization that leads the cutting edge of robotics competitions you would think they would have a realy cool and dynamic web site and one that didnt take for ever to load???
Boooooooooorinnnnnnnng.

My computer had no trouble loading the site quickly… (and I’m on aol!!). I like the new look, its pretty cool! They were working on the new FIRST site all last summer (I work at the camp and the web designer talked about changing the site), i can’t believe it just went up now!

From what Ive heard from FIRST, the page walks a thin wire: making it technologically advanced and content-rich as possible and at the same time making it easy for the visitors with slower modems to be able to download it.

Give it time, I’m sure it’ll work out.

I think it’s a little ironic that FIRST chose gears as a background.

That’s FIRST’s stationary. Lora likes to call it “special paper”, FIRST guards it with their lives.

From what Eric showed me on site at GLR today, the site that is currently in place is only a temporary, with a VERY nice new site to come…probably will be up in a month or two, after all of them have a chance to relax a bit…
