I don’t think you need to worry. The NEO and Spark Max combination is excellent; we’ve run them hard in test robots and they’ve stood up to everything while barely breaking a sweat. FRC has kept the less-useful Nidec Dynamo BLDC Motor around for several years, so I can’t see a major change in policy regarding the NEOs one year after release. If anything, prices might be a little higher when Rev Robotics re-stocks, or there might be some minor improvements to the Spark Max electronics.
True. But that was almost 15 years ago. I see more intentional coordination between the programs now. But in any case it’s just intuition, which has been wrong a few times (please don’t ask my team about that…)
That actually hypes me because I thought we will not get a blog post about the legal electronics. I was sure last year the blog post was released much earlier.
