New Q&A system

Maybe I’m doing it wrong, but so for I am very unhappy with the new Q&A system. With the old system, as soon as you navigated to the top level page of the forum you could clearly see if any new questions were posted, and where they were. With the new system, you have to click on each manual, drill down to each section, click each rule, then click search. If this activity reveals that a question has been posted and answered, you have to click the question to see the answer:confused: This whole thing is going to give me carpal tunnel syndrome!

Is FIRST trying to discourage browsing the questions and answers? I know that questions can often lead to ideas, and this has always been a good place to look to see if someone has thought of something we might have missed.

I would like to see a return to the old forum. If there is a better way, can someone enlighten me?

You don’t have to narrow it down all the way to search. Just select a manual section like “The Robot,” hit search, and all Q&A queries for this section will be displayed.

Or just hit search with all fields blank, and see everything.

So it would have killed them to put that line on the pages somewhere? They don’t have a Q&A for the Q&A system.

Thanks, that does make it a lot better. Still not as good as the old system, but better than I first thought. I would like to be able to see only questions that I haven’t already read, but, oh well.
