I have to correct you. The jackpot will increase linearly following the equation jackpot = 30+ 10(number of people absolutely demolished by Andy Baker)

The rate at which Andy Baker demolishes competitors at a given time increases linearly with the number of competitors already demolished by that time. Ergo, exponential increase.

The rate of demolishment will increase until Tyler can’t get through 5 questions quickly enough. Ergo, the rate will approach constant and the jackpot will eventually be Increasing at a linear growth model.

You are correct: growth will ONLY be exponential until Andy’s graciousness forces him to wait for Tyler to finish asking a question before he can begin to answer it, after which the jackpot will indeed grow linearly.
The graph below illustrates your correct conclusion. It assumes that Tyler’s rate begins at one question per minute, and that rate increases linearly until it reaches Tyler’s maximum rate of ten questions per minute. Tyler gets through ten questions in the first three minutes, after which his rate is maxed out.
