New Swerve Chassis only sees PDP over CAN

Hello All,

Our team just completed a build of the 2910 mini swerve and we are using a CAN Bus hub for all of the devices to connect to the system. Currently we only see the PDP in Phoenix Tuner.

Everything looks connected correctly and I reimaged the roborio just this morning.

SO the can wires go from the RoboRio to the front of the hub. The two can wires form the back of the hub go into the PDP. I am connecting my laptop via usb to the roborio and only see the PDP.

From what the schematic and your pictures look like, your devices wired to the sides of the block aren’t hooked up correctly. You have all the yellow wires going to one side and all the green wires going to the other, while the schematic indicates that you should be alternating green and yellow wires on the sides, aligning with whichever color you wired as “A” and “B” on each end of the block.

@bobbysq Thank you for your response. I was able to see all can devices after rewiring the can bus.

First, I don’t work for CTRE or any other supplier. My profile picture is intended as a dig at Phoenix Pro using a fairly old meme. (This image requires a [website] Gold account to view)

As for your problem, I would install Phoenix Tuner X (I don’t know if the original Phoenix Tuner will still be supported next season) and follow the instructions here to upgrade your firmware.

Up until this post, prompting me to actually click on your profile/enlarge the profile pic, I fully thought you were a CTRE rep  (the icons are fairly small on mobile for me, and only the CTRE logo was really legible).

That’s fair enough - I’ll probably change it soon to clear up any confusion. I thought it was distinct enough from the avatars actual CTRE employees use but I also realize it’s not very obvious at first glance.
