Next Year's Nationals Show

I think next year at Nationals FIRST should get Metallica to perform instead of some pop performer. Everyone would repress their hunger if Metallica performed. Think about it:

The lights go out on stage and this smoke starts billowing out and then suddenly the opening riff to Master of Puppets blasts out from speakers on the stage and Metallica appears. It would be so awesome.

As has been mentioned on this forum before, there is no way that FIRST and Disney could set up a show that would make everyone happy. Everyone has different tastes, and no matter who you had perform, you would see the same as you did this year…those who did like the performer staying for the rest of the show, and those who did not heading off to the park…

Yes, but most of the people like Metallica. Really.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Metallica’s music but If i saw Lars, I’d have words with him!!!

He just had to go and lead the fight against Napster!!!
Arrogant rock star!

I agree that I would much rather see them than some pop star. However, with keeping everyone happy, they should of stuck with the cool show that they used to do!

Yes that may be true, but would you honestly think Metallica would perform? I doubt they would do it, plus if I saw Lars, Id shake his hand and then kick him in the groin…

I’ll second that

It would be great… but how could FIRST or Disney even manage to get Metallica to perform?

YEA!!! Metallica!
“Enter Sandman” is the intro music to our webpage!

Screw Metallica, let’s get Aphex Twin!

Metallica at nationals would honestly be the greatest show that FIRST could ever put on…and as for how to get Metallica, first, you go to each member of the band and spray knockout gas in their faces, then they wake up at nationals.
Just an idea  .

Nah, Incubus and 3rd Strike

Anway, I might not have followed up on this story but as far as I know Jason Newsted quit the band and they never got a replacement…and I doubt FIRST and disney would let good ol’ James Hetfield in there with his bottles of booze

Now Incubus… that would be sweet!

I’m no Metalica fan and I’m sure there are plenty of others who wouldn’t care for it niether. There is no way they can please everybody so Disney tries to go middle of the road with a “safe” act like Mandy Moore plus little Miss Wholesome fits Disney’s image better than Metallica.

Metallica is really good and all… but i don’t like what they did to Napster… i mean… if you have $10 million in your bank account… when are you gona stop getting greedy…?

Haven’t you seen The Princess Diaries? Grrr… she was so mean in that! She got what was coming to her though  Heh, heh, poor Mandy.

There are universal bands that a majority of the people wouldn’t mind seeing. The real problem this year was the timing. Everyone was waiting for the people to finish talking to they could go and par-tay, but then, oh wait! Suprise! It’s Mandy Moore! But we want to go to the party! Sorry Mandy, you were too late! Now only the die-hard teenie boppers are going to watch you, and the guys that want to rape you… some of them at least… ahem! Seriously now, one of the more recent bands I’ve noticed that a lot of people with different music tastes tend to like is Linkin Park. I’m not saying that they should play, but I’m sure it’d be better than Miss Moore. At least the music… ahem.

I think there should be a new law that says people have to be at least 18 to release music. This whole new wave of mini-rappers and singers is getting ridiculous.

There was one music video I saw that hade Lil’ Romeo, Lil-something-or-other, and this other little rapper guy all together and I looked like a parody of a normal music video.

Also I think most of the pop music people would be better off if they didn’t talk. At all.

Do you know how arrogant these comments make you look? People have a right to make music whenever and however they want. If you don’t like it, don’t listen to it.

First thing he said that I agreed with

I also believe the music industry is getting out of hand with the little kids.
