Sunday (so far)
Atlanta (7-6) at Tampa Bay (3-10)
Vick actually had a pretty good game. Except the Bucs just plain suck.
Baltimore (10-3) at Kansas City (7-6)
This was almost all Baltimore. LJ had a 100-yard game, but most of it came on a 43-yard run. Had the Ravens prevented that run, this would have been the most successful day a defense has had against LJ all season yards wise. This was also a statement game for one other big reason. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME IN MORE THAN A DECADE THAT KANSAS CITY HAS LOST A HOME GAME IN DECEMBER. (and this time, it wasn’t even close)
Indianapolis (10-3) at Jacksonville (8-5)
Not even close! Indy’s probably going to blow its postseason run unless its defense starts to play better. They were just pounded like they were a NAIA team playing Ohio State.
Minnesota (6-7) at Detroit (2-11)
Not pretty. Detroit fans, start thinking about the 2007 Draft.
New England (9-4) at **Miami (6-7) **
Who saw this shutout coming? I clearly didn’t.
NY Giants (7-6) at Carolina (6-7)
Weinke throws for 400+, but the G-Men pounded them today.
Oakland (2-11) at Cincinnati (8-5)
Not even close. This prevented Baltimore from taking the division and solidified Cincy’s grip on a wild-card bid.
**Philadelphia (7-6) ** at Washington (4-9)
Now this was an interesting game. Jason Campell is still learning, and it showed today in the most critical moments of this game. The 'Skins are virtually eliminated (though not mathematically eliminated); are assured of a losing season; and must now concentrate on 2007.
Tennessee (6-7) at Houston (4-9)
VY! VY! VY! This was an incredible homecoming game for Vince Young. More of these games and he’ll fill Steve McNair’s shoes entirely. (Wait: He was constantly the MVP in Steve McNair’s football camps. The now-Ravens quarterback still mentors him in many ways.) Houston must now start playing for 2007 and once again, fix their holes.
Green Bay (5-8) at San Francisco (5-8)
A statement game for the Pack and for Brett Favre and Donald Driver. They have to improve a little bit on run defense (Frank Gore absolutely pounded them today), but they are definitely showing promise for years to come.
Seattle (8-5) at Arizona (4-9)
Definitely the upset of the week. Finally two things. A) The Cardinals win 2 in a row. B) Edge and Leinart have protection
**Buffalo (6-7) ** at NY Jets (7-6)
Pats fans are definitely relieved at the outcome of this game. The Bills are on fire and look to be very alive in the playoff hunt. The Jets need to rebound next week so they don’t lose any more ground.
Denver (7-6) at San Diego (11-2)
Blame no one else but LT! He was absolutely clutch today. This game, coupled with KC’s loss to Baltimore, helped the Chargers clinch the AFC West. It also now inherits the #1 seed in the AFC at 11-2
New Orleans (9-4) at Dallas (8-5)
This is not the kind of game Dallas had hoped for. This is a field day for the NO offense and fantasy owners of these players.
Chicago (10-3)at ** St. Louis (6-7) **
The fate of this game depends on Chicago = Who do the Bears start at QB? Will the QB be any effective at all?
