Will the device that attaches to the cage slide down on the bars when you climb?
Yes, it will slide down the bars and press on the bottom plate of the cage.
In our testing it takes a LOT of torque to get this to happen which is why our Falcon is on a 8:1 if I remember correctly
What does this removal tool do?
The removal tool will hold the hooks open so the cage is no longer being held in the robot.
As Ri3D comes to a close we are moving to posting on our Open Alliance build thread for the onseason, we will be posting more robot demos and CAD there.
Hey,
Our team is really impressed with your design for the âEnd Effectorâ and we would love to see your CAD to interpret it into our robot design. We were wondering if our team could have a copy of your CAD? We appreciate your time and wish you a good day!
Take a lookat the onshape links at the top of the thread.
Awesome! This will help a lot. I canât seem to make a copy of the document since itâs part of a enterprise that I donât have access to, and was wondering if that would be possible to make a copy without being apart of the enterprise? Thank you so much for your help!
We are currently working to solve this, there is no obvious way to make it so non enterprise users can make a copy of an enterprise document but we did make it so you can export parts from the document.
We will be posting a version of the CAD not in an enterprise so you can make a copy later today.
Awesome! I really appreciate this.
Thanks again!
What is your robot weight?
Sorry if I missed this earlier in the thread - are your algae the clamshells or the straight crosshatch? We have clamshell and replicated this concept but Iâm nervous it wonât translate well to crosshatchâŠ
On you Feeder/Ground Intake, what orient the Coral to a horizontal position parallel to the frame? I couldnât figure out from the CAD.
Hi, the cad has some extra bodies in it around the part the rotates the arm on the elevator.
In this photo Iâve hidden some of the bodies but what I really want to know is what drives the arm and what the ratio is. In the cad it looks like multiply Rev max 1:1. Is this correct?
Edit: I double checked the cad in onshape rather than fusion and it says itâs a 25:1 I still want to make sure the orientation is correct.
I also have a question about the intake. I donât see the intake in the cad could you possibly add dimensions for it? Or just a side view it?
@s-neff We designed a new end effector to intake crosshatch algae and you can look at it in our latest open alliance post. We have tested it with new ALGAE and you can watch a video of it working on the post.
That looks really good can we trade?
Our RI3D robot weighed 110 pounds
