NJ Area Teams - Workshop for New Control system and Java on 12/19

Hi everyone,

I’m not exactly sure if there’s a better place for this or not, but team 1089, one of the 2009 beta test teams, will be hosting a workshop on the new 2010 FRC Control System and Java programming languages on Saturday, December 19, at 2PM at Hightstown High School.

We plan on giving an overview of the new control system, including the new Classmate PC (including the dashboard software), the PSOC board, and how the entire system is hooked up and configured.

Additionally, we will be having a separate section about the new FRC Java programming platform, including the IDE, API documentation, the deployment process, and experiences we had with testing the language. We have also done some sensor testing, so we will do some demonstrations with our machine and how to display sensor feedback on the dashboard.

Directions to Hightstown High School can be found here: http://bit.ly/8mU2UV

Please contact me at [email protected] if you plan on attending.

Thanks!

Due to the inclement weather, this workshop is cancelled.

We will be presenting it again at the Montgomery (Skillman) Kickoff on January 9th.

Good call, you’re likely to see a foot today.

Too bad Chris, I heard your students were working hard preparing for it.

We actually have no snow so far in Mt. Olive.

When I was a student we had to trudge uphill through snow drifts over our heads to reach our workshops!

we had teams coming from far and wide to the workshop, so we figured it’d be better off cancelling it. I’d hate to have their travel on my conscience.

Perhaps you could work out a way to telepresence it?

In both directions!
