No CAN devices appear in Phoenix Tuner

Our team is running into issues attempting to get our CAN devices to appear on Phoenix Tuner following the install of the 2023 image of the cRIO. We have tested using both a RIO 2 and a RIO 1 (both have successfully had code loaded deployed onto them), and we have tested using a CAN loop that was from the RIO directly to the (CTRE) PDP, as well as using both 10.TE.AM.2 (“TE.AM” being replaced with our team number) over the radio and 172.22.11.2 over USB as the diagnostic server address. It seems the CAN devices are wired correctly, since they blink amber, plus the Phoenix Tuner can successfully run the “Temporary Diagnostic Server,” so I am confused as to why no CAN devices appear - is it something to do with the 2023 RIO image, or something else?

Thank you!

Does the code thats deployed include the phoenix (5 or pro) vendordep?

We have the Phoenix v5 vendordep in our code

And the phoenix server startup logs appear in riolog?

Not a solution to your issue but FWIW I had no can devices show up on Phoenix Tuner so I tried Phoenix Tuner X and it did show them.

I’m going to try to solve the original issue this week though

I did attempt using Phoenix Tuner X at some point and still had the same issue

I think so… I do remember there being something along the lines of a server started successfully message along with a timer. Now that I think about it, I remember there being an orange error message at the bottom of the screen, though. I’ll update with that when I have the chance.

This is what we are coming up with

I would try updating your phoenix tuner to the latest version

Turns out that we needed to update the Phoenix Framework (available here) along with the Phoenix Tuner! Both Phoenix Tuner X and the regular one work now. Thank you all for the help!
