No FIRST tab in wind river? [installation problems]

Hello, I have recently tried installing WindRiver on a few different laptops, the classmate [with the new image], a Windows XP netbook, a desktop with windows 7 x64, and a couple with vista x32.

So far, only one of the vista machines has installed correctly, and the XP netbook is operating correctly (I think). but the rest still don’t have the FIRST tab on the menu bar, or the FRC specific example code.

I’m not sure if I can just copy over the entire C:\windriver directory over to the other computers (due to different operating systems). I have tried copying over C:\windriver\workspace (I had noticed there were about 2x the plugins in a certain directory)

If i find a solution i will post it here.

You can copy the entire Wind River directory from one computer to another.
There’s no guarantee doing that will make things work correctly on a 64-bit W7 computer – even if you’re copying from a computer where everything worked fine.

I had the exact same issue. Just run the workbench update and it will appear. :slight_smile: I believe it’s available from the usfirst website.
