No power output from SPARK MAX

We were testing our climber today with our limit switch and suddenly the climber motor stopped working. Our climber motor is a NEO and the motor controller for it is a SPARK MAX. The lights were completely out on the SPARK MAX itself. We checked the PDP port and there was power coming out of that and the breaker on the PDP was not the issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? For now we are just switching to another SPARK MAX that we aren’t currently using but we’d love to get that one running again and prevent this issue in the future. We’ll be contacting REV on Monday to try to get some help from them too.

Try this:
https://docs.revrobotics.com/sparkmax/operating-modes/recovery-mode

We did already try the recovery mode and that did not work. The SPARK MAX does have the lights on when plugged into the computer if that helps at all.

Are the spark wire leads connected directly to the power distribution hub/panel OR is there an intermediate connection in between?

They are connected directly to the PDP.

Please check the REV site for instructions on how to control the MAX through the USB port. See if you can control the motor that way to verify power wiring and MAX functions are working.

We tried to run it through the USB port and it didn’t work. We switched it out for a new SPARK MAX which is now working well. We’re contacting REV tomorrow so I’ll post here if I get any answers in case anyone else has a similar issue.
