Non-Marking Swerve Wheels?

Are there any good solutions for wheels that dont mark or otherwise score carpet and other surfaces for swerve?
We have tried colsons, but they are apparently still marking the carpet, although less than the nitrile. I have read good things in 2 posts on the TPU tire thread, but how have others experiences with those types of tires been?

If chips of tread are better than marks, blue tread is your friend.

From a team who ran TPU wheels for 3 offseason events, they don’t quite “mark” carpet with tread marks, but they do tear at the carpet pretty aggressively and can rip it up. We’ve also burned a hole in carpet from breaking traction with TPU wheels, so I wouldn’t recommend using them on carpet you’re trying to keep pristine.

TPU wheels are surprisingly durable on concrete, so I would recommend them for surfaces other then carpet.

TPU wheels printed with no tread. Just a smooth surface (assuming outreach wheels, if comp wheels then with tread is fine)

But I would also say trying 3d printed wheels this late in the season is not something I would personally do (He says as he’s been developing them for months) but for a long term switch they could be an option.

The TPU treads we are running on our swerve modules actually seem to have cleaned our carpet. It used to have tire marks all over it from the black nitrile SDS treads. Running the knobby 95A TPU treads has actually helped remove the older marks, and do not appear to be wearing out the carpet.

Blue nitrile tread just as much of a pain to clean up after, just for different reasons. My team kind of gave up on them because we were tired of cleaning up the tiny blue chunks they always seem to make lol

Hey man I’m just answering the question. They don’t make marks!

(In seriousness, yeah the chips are far worse. Blue nitrile is also definitely worse than black neoprene in durability.)

We put colson wheels in our swerve and it did just find on the school floor. I don’t know if we ever went full speed though because we were being cautious still.
